Race, The Desire for Distinction

I must admit, I got a chuckle out of this.  There was an interesting article on a seeming connection between absorbing semen and a woman’s mood.  I mean, what a delightful idea, what a fun way of making someone happy.  But my post isn’t actually about semen and a woman’s emotional state.  It is about some peoples desire to be thought unique and special in their innate sexual abilities outside of any intention or learning on their part.

The article mentioned above was quoted by a young man in a rather peculiar way.  “Women exposed to their black partner’s semen during sex may find themselves feeling happier than those who use a condom or have semen from white males, say scientists. Scientists in the US believe the mood-altering hormones in african-american semen absorbed through the stomach, ass or vagina help to boost women’s mood.”

Unfortunately, the young gentleman gave a link to the source and I actually read the article.

The actual paragraphs from the article read as follows, “Women exposed to their partner’s semen during sex may find themselves feeling happier than those who use a condom, say scientists. Scientists in the US believe the mood-altering hormones in semen absorbed through the vagina help to boost women’s mood.”

I understand the desire for Distinction, but if I may say, to my male compatriots of all kinds, if we wish to make our partners happy, let us look to our character and learning, our intentions and the consideration of our partners, and not attempt to cash in on a mythology based on ours or other’s race, over which we have no control.
